THE GREAT PASSAGE: It’s not always a race. Sometimes, it’s a journey.

How?? How do Animes do that? How does it take something as mundane as a dictionary and turn it into an Anime with so much feels? I mean it’s an anime about making a dictionary for crying out loud! And yet, here I am after the end of the anime writing this with such a warm heart and a weird smile on my face.

WHEN FLOWERS BLOOM, SO DOES ANIME

I cannot get enough of Spring 2022 anime season. As you may or may not know, I haven’t been feeling too great these past couple of months; so I have been anime-indulging for some much needed serotonin boost, and Spring 2022 Animes are such mood lifters. *heart eyes* If you are into Slice of Life , Comedy and Romance, this blog is for you. We are eating good this season!

Gotta Be My Own Savior

no one came.. No rescuer. There was no weirdly dressed Doctor and his TARDIS showing up out of the blue, there’s still no letter being dropped off for a magical school. No Yato God delivery service here, nor Captain Yami accidentally dimension slashed his way to my world. I did not get isekie’d by truck-kun nor did Natsuki Subaru and his savior complex  came to my rescue. Trust me. I would have found the toilet if I was sure to summon Hanako-kun.

SAKAMICHI NO APOLLON: Love, Bromance and all that Jazz

Love me an underrated Slice of Life that revolves around strong friendships. Aaah my heart. Friendships for me have always been more important to me than my romantic relationships. It’s the philosophy I live by and this is one of those shows that portrays it so beautifully. Sakamichi no Apollon (aka Kids on the slope) has got the love, the bonds, the honesty, the fights, the understanding wrapped in rounded music to set the mood just right. A beautiful front row view of how one person can make such a difference in your life.

Because This Was My First K-drama

*Minor Spoilers* Yup, I’m talking about ‘Because this is my first Life’. It was definitely one of my firsts. I started watching K-dramas during quarantine and this time of my life – as I am sure for a lot of us, was quite a blur. Despite the haziness of isolation, I distinctly remember absolutely lovingContinue reading “Because This Was My First K-drama”
